Yuyu Rau is a Taiwanese-British actor and embodied-practice facilitator with over 20 years’ experience across dance, theatre and community practice.

Her approach draws on mindful and somatic practice, creative improvisation, devised theatre, physical storytelling and reflection. Trained in trauma-informed and inclusive practice, she creates participant-led environments grounded in agency, choice, curiosity and care.

Yuyu holds an MA in Theatre for Community and Education from Mountview (2022–2024, Distinction) and an MA in Dance Performance. She also completed REACH, a health and arts training programme offered by Performing Medicine in Greenwich, where she further developed her creative health and mindful embodiment practice.

Alongside her facilitation, Yuyu has more than 16 years’ professional performance experience across theatre, film and television. This brings artistic rigour, playfulness and a deep understanding of ensemble practice to her workshops.

Her facilitation and creative collaborations include work with Creating Ground, New Earth Theatre, Protein Dance, Woolwich Works, Harris Academy Peckham, Hampshire Cultural Trust and Cloud Gate Dance Theatre School.
